Ring, crane electric motors

Three-phase asynchronous crane ring motors with fixed brushes are designed for driving cranes or other transport equipment in intermittent operation. The motors may only be used in the environment specified on the rating plate and confirmed in the purchase contract. The manufacturer permits the use of motors in protected environments according to ČSN 33 0300, Art. No. 4.1.2. and recommends ordering motors in a version for harsh climatic conditions, designated T23 according to ČSN 34 5609, for this application.

Three-phase asynchronous crane ring motors with fixed brushes are manufactured with an axial height of 112–400 mm. The main structural parts of the motor with an axial height of 112–250 mm are made of cast iron, and the fan is made of an aluminum alloy. For an axial height of 280–400 mm, the main structural parts of the motor, including the fan, are welded from steel.

Starting electric motors – round sales, price list

Ring electric motors – Sales and price list. The basic design is a three-phase asynchronous crane ring motor:

  • Form IM 1001 – Foot with a cylindrical shaft end, with dimensions according to the dimension tables
  • in protection class IP 44 – motor closed
  • for shaft heights from 112 to 200 mm with IC 411 surface cooling
  • for shaft heights from 225 to 400 mm with IC 511 surface cooling
  • motors of frame sizes 112 and 132 mm have a terminal cover with two screw plugs, motors of frame sizes 160 to 400 mm have a terminal cover with a double-necked cable end
  • for intermittent operation of S3 and load 40%
  • for rated voltage 380 V – for rated frequency 50 Hz
  • for ambient temperatures from -30 C to +50 C
  • for difficult environments: wet with relative humidity up to 95% / 25 °C, cold with temperatures of -30 °C, hot with temperatures up to +50 °C
  • the maximum permissible continuous speed of 200% of the rated speed
  • with an insulation system of insulation temperature class F
  • for an altitude of up to 1,000 m
  • with grey exterior paint

Sales prices are individual. The price list is available upon request. After consultation with the manufacturer, it is possible to order derivative versions of the engine with the following deviations from the base version:

  • Form IM 3001 – Flange with a cylindrical shaft end, with dimensions according to the dimension tables, only up to and including an axial height of 225 mm
  • Form IM 1011, IM 1031, IM 1051, IM 1061, IM 1071, IM 3011, IM 3031, Motors Form IM 1011, IM 3011 are equipped with a protective roof that prevents small objects from entering the fan compartment
  • for a frequency of 60 Hz
  • with two cylindrical shaft ends according to the dimension tables
  • with built-in temperature sensors
  • to difficult climatic conditions T23, i.e. for a macroclimatic area with dry and humid tropical climate T (site category 2, atmosphere type 3 according to ČSN 34 5609).
  • for cold climates F23 / -40 C
Crane motors – ring

Crane, ring motors, and other information. The technical data table shows the rated motor power for load type S3, load factor 40%, rated voltage 380 V, and rated frequency 50 Hz under operating conditions. At ambient temperatures above +50°C, power correction is required according to the graph showing the dependence of the power ratio on the coolant temperature. At ambient temperatures below +50°C, the manufacturer allows a power increase according to the diagram. When adjusting the power in the ambient temperature range from +30°C to +0°C, the stator and rotor currents change proportionally to the power. The stator winding, rotor winding, the ohmic resistance of the stator and rotor windings, and the rotor voltage remain the same. The power correction coefficient can also be used to correct the power for altitude changes or when the coolant temperature and altitude change simultaneously. This correction is made using a fictitious temperature calculated from the formula below and a coefficient subtracted from the graph of the dependence of the power ratio on the temperature of the coolant, based on the calculated fictitious temperature.
